Welcome to Summit Boston 2013!

Please click here for Kannada version.

From the day the Pilgrims landed, Boston has been an influx of rich and diverse cultural traditions. It is the natural choice to celebrate our unique culture and reach out to the global Kannadiga. With the strength of over 1000 Kannadiga families in the New England area, Boston stands testimony to NAVIKA tenet. The New England area Kannadigas are talented and enthusiastic, and are dedicated to keeping the Kannada culture thriving. Our collaboration will bring you an exciting, memorable event! Apart from the usual menu of programs, the 2013 summit hopes to entertain you in new and unique ways, keeping in sight NAVIKAs core values.

The Global Kannadiga: NAVIKA world summit is open to Kannadigas and Kannada enthusiasts from all over the world. Summit Boston will involve people not just from the USA and India, but other parts of the world as well. We invite all the global Kannadigas to be a part of this event. Whether you are enthralling audiences with your performance on stage or you are the person backstage making that performance possible. Whether you are meeting and greeting our happy audience, or you are that happy, enthralled audience, we need you all to make this event truly and innately global! Your support makes the "Vishwa Kannadiga" dream possible.

The Millennials: This very unique generation of children born in the 20th century and who crossed into adulthood in the new millennium, is a truly global generation. With roots firmly set in two (or sometimes more) unique cultures, the Millennials bring in rich and diverse perspectives. One of NAVIKAs goals is to cater to their exclusive needs. Millennials hold sway over global economy and politics and can shape this society into their vision. Their support for this summit not only shows their connection to Kannada roots, but also ratifies NAVIKAs stake in this generation. The youth and millennial programing will be conducted by the next generation Kannadigas. They will bring their ideas and energy into the 2013 Summit adding to is inimitable quality. Millennials from around the globe can also connect through our singles meet.

Education: We hope to present attendees with creative ideas and tools to not just teach and promote Kannada, but with the unique emphasis of Boston on learning, this summit opens many exceptional opportunities. As Mark Twain said, in New York they ask "how much money does he have?" In Philadelphia, they ask, "who were his parents?" In Boston they ask, "how much does he know?" The rich culture learning and erudition is due to its many universities. Labor Day weekend is an opportune time for you to visit one of these temples of higher learning, like Harvard and MIT, and see what our city can offer. If you are a parent interested in a college tour, please contact us at navikaboston@gmail.com.

And not just the children, our forums will engage the adults in intellectual discussions as well.

Join us and be the bridge that connects Kannadigas around the world. Enrich your experience with this event, which indubitably unites the community, forges common bonds and initiates friendships & partnerships lasting a lifetime.
